PROfessional Short Track Auto Racing Organization (PRO-STAR)

Milwaukee-area short-track sanctioning organization known as PRO-STAR (PROfessional Short Track Auto Racing Organization). Contemporary Midwest Racing News documents area-wide Modified and Sportsmen point championships by the mid-1960s, later Late Model/Sportsmen rules and registration, and long-running SCRAM/PRO-STAR awards programs centered on southeastern Wisconsin tracks. PRO-STAR race-event advertising is documented through 2002, and MRN reports both the 35th annual PRO-STAR awards banquet and a special PRO-STAR Modified program at Hales Corners in 2003. Later organizational activity has not been established.
